Advocacy & Organizing


The Advocacy and Organizing workshop series was piloted in the fall of 2009! This seven-session training introduces leaders to core theories and strategies for advocacy and organizing work. The Fall 2010 session will run seven Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00pm, and will cover the following topics:

-September 21st | Introduction to Advocacy and Organizing
-September 28th | Personal Identity and Leadership
-October 12th | Base Building and Group Democracy
-October 19th | Campaign Mapping through Power Analysis
-October 26th| Action and Escalation
-November 2nd | Action Planning and Media Strategy
-November 9th| Facilitative Leadership, Critical Analysis and Reflection
